Anjanae Miller is a seasoned professional with over 18 years of experience in the hospitality and tourism industry, having held various leadership roles at Marriott Vacation Worldwide. Her extensive background spans multiple sectors of hospitality, where she has consistently demonstrated her ability to lead teams, streamline operations, and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
 

Anjanae is driven by her passion for numbers and a data-driven approach to operational efficiency. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from California State University, San Bernardino. Her diverse expertise and commitment to excellence have positioned her as a strategic leader, capable of driving success in both hospitality and finance.


Beyond her professional accomplishments, Anjanae is a dedicated community advocate with a strong passion for youth empowerment and comumunity development. She currently serves as the Treasurer for the Palm Springs Indians Youth Football & Cheer, a volunteer-led organization that provides young athletes with opportunities to develop teamwork, discipline, and confidence through structured sports programming. In this role, Anjanae ensures financial transparency and sustainability while supporting initiatives that keep youth engaged in positive, character-building activities.

In addition to her work with youth sports, Anjanae is a long-standing board member of the Negro Academic Scholarship Fund (NASF), a nonprofit organization committed to uplifting the next generation of scholars through scholarships and mentorship. Over the past decade, she has helped raise critical funds and shape programs that support academic achievement and college readiness among underrepresented students.

Through her leadership and volunteerism, Anjanae continues to foster inclusive, supportive spaces where youth can thrive. Her approach to community engagement emphasizes collaboration, equity, and long-term impact, making her a trusted leader and role model in the Palm Springs area.

Deiter Crawford is the Founder and CEO of Urban Palm Springs, a visionary entrepreneur, and a lifelong Community Organizer and Social Justice Advocate. Born and raised in Palm Springs, California, Deiter has dedicated his adult life to creating transformative change in underserved communities through grassroots mobilization, strategic par

Deiter Crawford is the Founder and CEO of Urban Palm Springs, a visionary entrepreneur, and a lifelong Community Organizer and Social Justice Advocate. Born and raised in Palm Springs, California, Deiter has dedicated his adult life to creating transformative change in underserved communities through grassroots mobilization, strategic partnerships, and civic engagement.

A Loma Linda University San Manuel Gateway College-trained Community Health Worker, Deiter has been active in community organizing since 2005. Over the years, he has collaborated with a wide range of organizations and institutions including Desert Highland Gateway Estates Community Action Association, Desert X, Palm Springs Art Museum, Modernism Week, Kounkuey Design Initiative, Desert Healthcare District, Lift to Rise, Borrego Health, FIND Food Bank, the City of Palm Springs, Inland Empire Health Plan (IEHP), and DAP Health—working across sectors to improve quality of life, celebrate cultural heritage, and advance equity.

As a political strategist, Deiter has managed multiple campaigns and served as a City of Palm Springs Parks & Recreation Commissioner. His on-the-ground experience and deep understanding of the local landscape make him a trusted advisor to business leaders and policymakers throughout California.

Deiter also serves as a Board Member of the Palm Springs Black History Committee and an Advisory Board Member for the Palm Springs Section 14 Survivors, where he continues his work preserving history, advocating for justice, and building sustainable futures for historically marginalized communities.

Beginning on the Agua Caliente Indian Reservation Section 14. This tour will introduce you to Black pioneers of our city. See the works of renowned architect Paul R. Williams. Learn about land developer Lawrence Crossley. Tour concludes at Desert Highland Gateway Estates - Palm Springs’ largest predominantly Black Neighborhood
